The Communication Design Studio (formerly known as the Graphics Lab) is a digital production space and hub for student interaction and collaboration. The lab provides access to design tools, software and printing services designed around the needs of the curriculum, such as the Adobe Creative Suite and Unity. Among the laser and inkjet printers we have to offer, we also have specialty machines like the Risograph printers, vinyl cutter and printer, and embroidery machines.
The CD Studio also offers flatbed cutting and UV printing services for students, but these machines are currently out of order.
For questions, consultations and making reservations for equipment, email the CD Studio. Please contact us at least two or more days in advance of when you need to use the lab.
50pg per day for laserjet printers (50pg double-sided)
20pg per day for inkjet printers (10pg double-sided)
For access to machines such as the Tajima Embroidery Machine, our Risograph printers and the Roland Vinyl Cutter, all students must take a mandatory orientation. Please keep in mind that the embroidery machine process has changed since moving from the University Center.
If you have not taken an orientation for a machine before March 20th, you cannot use these machines for the semester. Please visit us in Fall 2018 for more Graphics Lab orientations.
