Quick Guide to getting access to the embroidery machines:

Step 1: Attend introductory Orientation:

Step 2: Make an appointment to do your “Homework” assignment, which is a text or monogram embroidery that you will create during your appointment within the Pulse embroidery software. This is the temporary sign-up place. http://doodle.com/poll/u9fniuaak2wpp4qa

Step 3: If you wish to embroider your own jpg images, you will need to attend a second orientation:

Signing up for an embroidery appointment

*you may reserve the machines for a maximum of 2 hours per week

*you must have attended the orientation in order to reserve an appointment

Necessary materials

File to embroider, in .ai, .dxf, .png, or .jpeg

Usb drive (16gb or less, no external drives)

Fabric you wish to embroider on, at least 12”x12” piece

Computer with illustrator installed

*create your design to scale on a 10”x10” artboard

*if you require certain colors you must supply them, we have limited colors

*be descriptive naming your files and designs

*bring extra fabric just in case

*your file must be ready to be digitized for embroidery

*do not work on your design at the start of your appointment, if it is not ready your appointment may be cancelled

*arriving more than 15 minutes late to your embroidery appointment may result in cancellation

Rules

The maximum embroidery size is 10”x10”

The embroidery machine may only be used for school projects and can be subject to teacher confirmation

Do not change machine settings or pulse digitizing settings ever

Designs with excessive small, unconnected segments or stippling will be rejected

Designs may use up to 15 colors

Long or very large designs may be stopped if the working time exceeds your appointment reservation
