Beth A. Gilbert - Technician, Photography
Beth A. Gilbert is a fine art photographer and photography technician living in New York City. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, her work has been exhibited at the William Harris Gallery at RIT in Rochester, NY, The Photographic Resource Center at Boston University, the Danforth Museum of Art, the Boston Online Biennial, the Black Box Gallery in Oregon, and the Hadassah Gallery in Jerusalem. Gilbert‘s work has also been featured on Lenscratch, Hey Hot Shot, 3200K, and New Landscape Photography. In addition, she has played a key role in the production of numerous photographic exhibitions for both nationally and internationally recognized artists.
Gilbert earned a BA in art with a concentration in photography from Simmons College, Boston and an MFA in Imaging Arts/Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology. She worked for a professional, full-service photo lab, Color Services in Needham, MA as Assistant Digital Technician for 5 years and served as a Student Manager at RIT’s Imaging Systems Lab, providing photographic lab services for the entire RIT campus. In addition to her position at The New School, Gilbert runs her own freelance business providing digital photographic post-production services.
