Max Garett - Technician

Max Garett received his BFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a concentration in sculpture. After graduating he worked for many years at the field museum of natural history in Chicago replicating artifacts and other objects for exhibitions. He relocated back to New York in 2015 where he worked as a fabricator and art handler for Barbara Gladstone gallery in Chelsea. He began work at Parsons in September 2015. He continues to maintain a personal practice as an artist with a studio space in Bushwick.

Art Practice:   My practice creates objects and gestures by comparing and connecting ancient iconographic figures and ideas from different cultures with those from the familiar history of today.
